Image and Performance Enhancement Drugs (IPEDs) encompasses a wide range of substances that are taken to alter body image and/or performance.  

Globally there is a growing concern about the extent of the health consequences of IPED use, including physical and psychological harms. Despite the established adverse effects of IPEDs and the risky behaviours associated with their use, people who use IPEDs are often reluctant to seek professional medical advice or visit primary care services.
